I included a 6”x6” painting by Katie Cook on my Christmas list. My wife ended up going over our agreed upon budget for Christmas gifts, and decided that if she just gave it to me now as a random “here you go, enjoy,” gift, then it didn’t count, and I couldn’t give her a hard time about it.
The piece itself is great, and it’s fun to look at it alongside the quick sketch card Katie did that actually started the whole collection I’m building.
Katie’s work, besides being fun, vibrant, and unique, is an amazing value. Getting a piece that shows this much care and attention at the prices she charges is a rare bargain. Plus, I’ve met her at a con, and she’s really nice.
